Eggs Galore!
Here are a few pictures from Dierks last weekend. (Two egg hunts!) He wasn't terrified of the Easter Bunny, but he didn't care for him much either. Just check out the look on his face in that picture! Keaton's big news is that he is starting to walk. Hopefully, I'll get some pictures of that soon!

One year well baby visit
Keaton had his one year check up this week. All is well. He is 29 inches long (25th%), 23 lbs (50th%) and still has a big noggin! :) His length is tapering off and he just may be a short guy like his mama.
He is cruising really well and has a few words. He says mama, but it sounds more like naw-naw. He points and says this or that constantly. He also says yes, dada, duck, dog and few other non-coherent words. He is full of energy and a little dare devil! He doesn't seem to be afraid of much and will not hesitate to try to get off my bed by himself...by going head first.
He is starting to become a little more picky about his foods. Mainly solid veggies. I guess I'm going to have to start "hiding" them in his other foods. He is definitely showing his independence in this area. He will pick the solid veggies out of his mouth. Frustrating!! Other than that, he stills eats pretty well.
Keaton is a very pleasant and loving baby! He is always smiling...well, most of the time anyway. He loves to hug and give kisses and cuddle. And there is nothing I love more than a big wet kiss from the little guy. He's not shy around many people and in fact, loves men. He scares me silly when he tries to reach for strange men while we are out. He doesn't do it all the time, but still...

A weekend away
Keaton is spending his first weekend away from me this weekend. He is visiting his dad and stepmom. And although he's in capable hands and being well taken care of...it's a little nerve wracking. I know it's good for him to visit them and that all is well, but I still can't help but be a little on edge while he's away. It seems really quiet around here...
